New year celebration US

New Year’s Eve is a time to celebrate the end of the old year and welcome the new year with optimism and hopefully an open-mind to new adventures and possibilities. It can be spent with family and friends, or it can be a chance to finish the year off with something a bit different! If you are looking to experience something new, we have some Ne Year’s celebration to check out around the U.S.

New York

One of the most iconic places in the US to ring in the new year is Times Square. Located in Manhattan, it has been the backdrop of many epic New Year’s celebrations. It also hosts one of the events most associated with New Year’s – the famous ball drop. Even if you have not experienced it in person, chances are you’ve seen it on television at least once. Few things can compare to the buzz and excitement experienced while attending this major celebration! However, if being in the middle of a million person party is not your idea of a good time, there are also other places to be such as Grand Army Plaza in Brooklyn and Resorts World Casino near JFK Airport.

Las Vegas

Known for the bright lights in displays year-round, it is only natural to guess that this city goes all out for New Year’s Eve. The famous Strip gets closed off to all vehicles to house one spectacular block party for residents and tourists alike. Once the clock strikes twelve, casinos all around the Strip display various fireworks from the roofs of their buildings. You can also watch the festivities from the Stratosphere Tower.

For most, this last entry will be the most familiar one. Still, if you want a memorable New Year’s Eve without having to travel too far away from home, consider spending the holiday in Orlando. There are so many options to choose from, you will be sure to find the right place for you and your loved ones! For many people, there is no better way to ring in the new year than with Mickey and friends at Walt Disney World. Disney is no stranger to epic fireworks displays, and the show they put on for New Year’s Eve is no exception. If Disney is not for you, Universal and SeaWorld also offer amazing events to help you ring in the new year, with Eve taking over CityWalk at Universal and a special music and fireworks display at SeaWorld. Finally, if theme parks aren’t your cup of tea, you can find many other celebrations happening around town. Places that have held New Year’s Eve parties in the past include downtown Orlando and ICON Orlando 360 on International Drive.

Wherever you choose to ring in the new year, we here at Preferred Link hope that you have a memorable and safe experience.
